Transportes Oriental is a Brazilian urban public transportation company in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Transportes Oriental was founded on December 2, 1959, beginning its activities under the name of Bangu Méier Ltda. It was one of the most traditional transportation companies of the West Zone, following the development of the region and remaining in the memory of its residents. In 1960, the name was changed to Transportes Oriental Ltda., In honor of a Portuguese football team, whose founder (Mr. Alcindo Moreira) was a member.

This stage was marked by several innovations, among them the change of colors passing to yellow, green-flag and white, prestige the colors of the national flag.
