Transportes Estrela is a Brazilian urban public transportation company in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Affiliated to Rio Bus, it is a municipal concessionaire. Its headquarters are in the district of Marechal Hermes, in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro.
Brief history.
The company was founded in 1950 as a stocktaking company. In 1963, the then governor of the state of Guanabara, Carlos Lacerda, decreed the end of the stockpiles, causing it to operate with conventional buses. The company again attends line 719 (Parque União x Rocha Miranda), with intervals of 11 minutes.
After the standardization imposed by the municipal public authority in 2010, it left its original colors and began to adopt the colors of the Transcarioca Consortium.
