In the 12th century, the first bell tower-porch was located at the entrance to the first bay of the Notre-Dame nave. The present bell tower dates from the 13th century. The bell tower is divided into three parts:
The conical roof is decorated in yellow and green to give the illusion of gold;
It rests on a 16th-century octagonal construction;
And finally, the whole rests on an older square base above the narthex on the south ambulatory side. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathédrale_Saint-Léonce_de_Fréjus
