Fontenay gives us the production figures for this token engraved in June 1659 by Jean Varin: 100 in gold, 2,400 in silver and 6,000 in copper. The harvest on the reverse announces peace and abundance. By May 9, hostilities had ceased between Spain and France, and the Treaty of the Pyrenees was signed in November 1659.
