This coin does not have a rim (most coins have a rim, which makes stacking coins easier).

The Federation of Damanhur was founded in 1975 by Oberto Airaudi (also known as Falco Tarassaco, his self chosen spiritual name). He designed the first coins of Damanhur and produced them himself to be used within the community. There were yellow and red clay coins with the values 10, 20, 25 and 50 cali, as well as 1 credito and 2 crediti. Also blackened nickel 5 crediti and silver 10, 25 and 50 crediti coins. The counter value of the credito was 1000 Italian lira, yet when the euro was introduced the new credito was introduced with the value 1 euro. Officially the old coins were demonitized, but within the community the old coins will still be accepted at the higher rate of 1 euro per old credito. It is nearly impossible to find any of these coins today, even within the community. There is a website that lists these early coins: www.taedivm.org/damanhur1.html
As the year was added to the coins in the final stage manually, the location is not always the same. A picture in an article shows a 10 crediti coin with the year located on the male face on the obverse: www.ilgiornale.it/news/politica/damanhur-40-anni-misteri-airaudi-appariva-nulla-1162510.html
