Token from François Nau and Marguerite Schoos' establishment at 1, route de Longwy, near the Rodange train station. The Nau-Schoos Café-Restaurant-Hotel featured a bowling alley, for which this token was used. The premises also included a village hall, which was used for cultural and social events, as well as a meeting room for local associations and a large number of real estate auctions. The establishment was owned by the Nau-Schoos couple from 1904 to 1928. Following the death of François Nau on August 21, 1928, his widow continued to run the establishment until 1930. Their son Adolphe Antoine Nau and his wife Fritz then took over the hotel. During the German occupation, Adolphe Nau was condemned for "anti-Nazi" remarks and had to close his premises on several occasions. It was in their premises that the first meeting of the Ligue luxembourgeoise des déportés et prisonniers politiques de Rodange-Pétange was held at the end of the war. Adolphe Nau was a member of the committee.
The building was demolished at the beginning of the 21st century to make way for a bank.
The present token, Weiller typology no. 24, was minted during the period of Father François Nau, and its issue can be dated between 1918 and 1930. The Nau-Schoos couple issued a second token, identical to this one but in aluminum.
