The town hall (early 20th century), a UNESCO World Heritage site, designed by Louis-Marie Cordonnier. The stained-glass window at the top of the first flight of interior steps depicts Jean Bart with his crew in the harbor, returning from the Battle of Texel. Ignored by most Dunkirkers, the monumental 17th-century Porte de la Marine (the remains of Vauban's fortifications) stands in its backyard, at the entrance to one of the commercial centers (CentreMarine).Price
