Comment
Loeki, the Little Lion (Loeki de Leeuw in Dutch) is a puppet that appeared on television on January 2, 1972. It was created by Dutch animator Joop Geesink (1913-1984). Its 4-second gags and endearing looks made it a hit. After Joop Geesink's death in 1984, his daughter Louise continued the series until 2004."Loeki, the Little Lion" was a huge hit with teenagers at the time. A little mouse with a mocking laugh sometimes accompanied his gags.
Loeki is known for his "Acheumeuneu" (an onomatopoeia derived from the Dutch "Asjemenou" meaning "Oh boy!") and his amusing gags.
