One year after Uderzo's death, the Monnaie de Paris has decided to pay tribute to the creator and illustrator of the most famous Gaul: Asterix.The year 2021 also marks the release of a new album in the saga: "Asterix and the Griffin", available from October 21. In this new adventure, the two Gauls and their druid Panoramix set off on a long and mysterious journey in search of a strange and terrifying creature.
This very limited edition blister celebrates the launch of the 39th album by the winged Gaul: Asterix and the Griffin.
The front of the blister features Uderzo's characters, depicted in an illustration from this new opus in the adventures of Asterix.
On the front of the mini-medal, the winged Gaul faces a strange and disturbing figure with impressive fangs and a beak like a bird of prey. But what is this strange creature? The reverse of the blister pack is numbered and includes a short introduction to the album.
