François Savaron was born on February 15, 1599 in Clermont-Ferrand and died on March 28, 1673 in Lyon. A great bourgeois of Lyon, he was an alderman of the city from 1665 to 1666; he was also secretary to the king, a Lyon banker and a merchant.His descendants include councillors and secretaries to the Lyon Presidial Court, and a Treasurer of France.
