This is one of a set (HT-70, 71, & 72) of Hard Times Tokens showing a Jackass with LL. D. on the reverse. This was satirizing Jackson being given an honorary doctorate degree in 1833 by Harvard. It differs from others in the set by having Jackson standing on the obverse and the donkey facing right on the reverse.
