Samuel Harvey Jr. (1799-1884) & Joseph P. Harvey (1808-1866) were brothers who ran their hardware and cutlery business together at this address from at least April 1835 to 1837 per DeSilver’s and McElroy’s contemporary directories of Philadelphia. There are four varieties. HT-410 is brass (R-5, 31-75 known), HT-410A is copper (R-7, 4-12 known), and HT-410B is gilt brass (R-6, 13-30 known). These three types have a reeded edge. The pictured token, HT-410C is brass with a plain edge and is rare.Obituary of Samuel Harvey, Jr. The Philadelphia Enquirer, 2 Dec 1884
