An article describing the history of Hanover Street at that time states "Several of the largest and most popular dry goods stores in town were located there such as those of ... Peck Burnham & Co...". 25 additional businesses were also named. (Boston Sunday Globe, 20 April 1888, page 9) They were in business from 1832 to 1835.
