This was a campaign token for William Henry Harrison in the 1840 presidential election. He was the first Whig party candidate to become president and defeated the incumbent Martin Van Buren. He died only 31 days after his inauguration. Because of the year of issue, it is included in the Hard Times set of tokens by Rulau. There were a number of different Harrison tokens issued during the campaign.
