Potlogi Palace of Constantin Brâncoveanu - a historical monument that is becoming an important tourist attraction on the Bucharest - Târgovişte .The 300-year-old palace, founded by Constantin Brâncoveanu, after a century of ruin and oblivion, opens its doors to the public after four years of work. It is the first palace built by Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu in 1698, which will be handed over to his first son. The selected site is strategically located at the crossroads of the two capitals of Wallachia, Bucharest and Târgovişte.
Here the ruler had a magnificent estate with beautiful gardens, a boyar's house and in 1639 he ordered the construction of the church of St. Dumitru, which has been preserved to this day. The complex with a built-up area of 3,400 m2 and a courtyard of 23,000 m2 consists of: a courtyard, a garden, a palace, a church, courtyard walls and fragments of an old house. The rectangular courtyard is surrounded on three sides by a wall and divided into three segments: the reception courtyard, the service courtyard and the garden behind the palace. It is situated in perfect symmetry with the external landscape, centered around beautifully arranged gardens and water reservoirs. Sculptures and murals inside, abounding in plant and plant motifs, are like an extension of the majestic nature from outside to inside.
