Token for the Hotel or Café Gloesener at 7, Moellerdallerstrooss in Christnach. The establishment was run by the Gloesener family from 1897 to 1973. Firstly by Nicolas Gloesener, who died on April 25, 1934, and then by the widow Barbe Koch until May 19, 1949. Their son, Jos Gloesener, took over the business and ran it until 1973. The building is now abandoned.

Weiller typology token no. 50, issued by the intermediary house Auguste Nimax and minted in 1949 in 500 copies by the Fisch et Cie workshop in Brussels. In 1953, the Gloesener café struck a token almost identical to this one, except that the word LUXEMBOURG on the reverse is 11 mm long.
