Token for the Schinker family establishment at 9, rue Knupp in Consthum. Eugène Schinker, first son of Jean-Pierre Schinker-Theis, took over the café in 1946. Alongside the café, he also ran a grocery store and provided rooms for tourists. In January 1949, Eugène Schinker married Sophie Wintringer. The latter still ran the establishment in 2013, on the eve of her 90th birthday.

Weiller type token no. 53, ordered via the intermediary Auguste Nimax and minted in 1949 in small runs at the Fisch & Cie workshop in Brussels. In 1946, Schinker had already struck a first token (MC 052) with an identical right-hand side, but with a Bock-type glass on the reverse.
