Paul Charles Strœhlin lists 3009 examples in silver and 419 in oxidised silver. This medal was engraved by Georges Hantz in Geneva and struck by the Usine de dégrossissage d'or in the same city. It is the official medal of this event (Revue Suisse de Numismatique, Volume 8, 1898, p.344).
