The cooperation “Hand aan Hand” was founded in Aalst, in the year 1892, and was taken over by “ Vooruit”, Gent in 1929. The date on the token refers to the founding year of Hand aan Hand, not to the actual production date.
This variant is known as #97 in the catalog “Het Huisgeld van de Gentse S.M. VOORUIT Nr. 1” (Andre Despretz, 1982). The other variants have different flower motifs:
