Halfway is a small town in Oregon, United States. It was so named because the original post office was located half way between Pine and Cornucopia (now a mining ghost town). Settled in the 1860's by Americans, the post office was established in 1887. The town was platted in 1907 near by and the post office moved into city limits. Incorporation followed in 1909.
