On November 24, 1841, it was decreed “…the erection of a quadrangular pyramid in the field of Ingavi, with a height of 45 feet, In front of the pedestal that look at the battlefield this legend will appear: Here six thousand Peruvians who dared to invade the land of Bolivia, They were defeated by three thousand eight hundred Bolivians. On the front that faces the town of Viacha, this will be done another: The ashes of an invader form the basis of this monument. On the other two fronts they will be written, in one the names of the generals, chiefs and officers, and bodies that attended the battle; and in the other the names of those who made up the main square of the Army.”

The Administration of the Department of Potosí, in commemoration of the Battle of Ingavi and with the allegory of the quadrangular pyramid, had a Medal minted 1 Sol cut coin.
