See the 60 Pesos medals documentation in the comments section of those coins. After the success of the initial 22.2 grs series in 1955 (12 medals out a total 20 because of a further subsequently issued 8), a number of others sizes were issued to conform with current European coin sizes at the time. These medals were widely used by Venezuelans as money to protect themselves from high inflation at the time and were also used to settle foreign payments by the government because fixed exchange rates based on the gold standard were in effect then.
