After following in his father’s footsteps and serving a second term in the West Virginia House of Delegates, Lewis was appointed by House of Delegates Speaker Bob Kiss in monitoring the legislative sessions. He then spent thirteen years as a fire marshal before retiring after 33 years of public service.
