KOMBINAT UMFORMTECHNIK "H. WARNKE" ERFURTEach worker had a large safety pin with a specific number of tool tokens on it. These stamps bore the company name and the number of the corresponding worker. In the company there was the so-called tool issue. The worker received a written work order with material slips, a precise description of the job, a drawing and a list of the tools required. He then fetched his material, went to the tool issue and received the required tools against deposit of the tool brands (one brand for a tool). The number made it possible to trace exactly who had which tool. If the stamp was lost, the worker had to shell out a certain sum.
