US flag with 38 stars
Script: Latin
Lettering: WANAMAKER & BROWN
Comment
The 38-star US flag began in August 1876 after the addition of Colorado and was officially adopted in 1877.
1876 also marked Wanamaker's move to the ‘Grand Depot’ store in the former Pennsylvania Railway station.
This token might have been made as a remembrance of how Mr. Wanamaker and his brother-in-law Nathan Brown got their start in the original Oak Hall location. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanamaker%27s#19th_century
