This is a token of the socialist consumer organization (or cooperative) Vooruit (Forward) (1880-1970) which was founded as a cooperative bakery to protect the factory workers against the instability of big capital.
The “buffet” tokens were in use, most likely in the drinking halls of “Vooruit”, from abt. 1900 until the second half of the 1920s.
