Originally a steel bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel, it was inaugurated in 1901. Destroyed by the Germans in 1944, it was rebuilt between 1956 and 1958 as a 203-meter-long arched bridge. The structure had been attacked by corrosion due to the marine environment, and repair work began at the end of 2009. After being interrupted and postponed for several months, work resumed in September 2010, for a planned duration of one year. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Trinit%C3%A9-sur-MerGules, three sea anchors Or abutting in pairs, their points directed towards the corners of the chief and towards the base, an unfigured sun Or surmounted by an abyss; on a chief Or, a bridge of a single arch Sable surmounted by three oyster shells Gules fesswise. https://armorialdefrance. fr/page_blason.php?ville=11983
