These tokens were made for use in the coffee machines WMF manufacturd.
The company is famous for their 1900 cir. artistic house and hotel wares.
The two pieces shown here aree exampes of their work in the early 1900's. Simular pieces were offerd for sale at $10.000 for the water pitcher in silver plated material and the Luncheon and Dinner Cruet, Art Nouveau, at $8,500
You can google or ebay search WMF coffee makers to see some of the machines they produce. I did not find one that I could tell was coin operated
