The water tower in Frombork - a Renaissance, brick water tower from the 16th century.Tower was built in 1571, on the site of an earlier building.
Nicolaus Copernicus stayed in Frombork. He worked on the Cathedral Hill almost continuously from 1510 to the day of his death in May 1543. It was here that Nicolaus Copernicus developed De revolutionibus orbium coelestium - a work that changed the concepts about the universe. The cathedral complex on the hill also became the burial place of the astronomer.
