Reverse

Central part of the coin features the Maiden Tower of the Devin Castle in the foreground. Background includes 13.5 horizontal text fragments from Štúr's work "Náuka reči slovenskej", a book using old Slovak grammar, but setting the base for the modern Slovak language. Last line bleeds into a full horizontal line on the right side of the tower, with two additional lines underneath. Left side of the tower includes the numeral "2", with two "0"s superimposed on the central tower, forming the number "200" with the Kremnica Mintmark on the right. Left side of the coin includes a quarter-circle with the inscription "výročie narodenia", and a centrally located seal (from the same book), rotated 25° counterclockwise from the vertical, with the Slovak coat of arms in the middle, surrounded by concentric circles with the inscription: "⚛ KNIHOVEŇ ⚛ MATICE SLOVENSKEJ" in between the circles.
