Bojnice Castle is a medieval castle located to the north of the spa town of Bojnice, in the Nitra river valley, Prievidza district, in the former county of Nyitra in Upper Hungary, now Slovakia.Situated on a hilltop, the building retains its Romanesque foundations, but owes its Romantic style to the Pálffy family, who owned it continuously from the Renaissance (1643) to the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic (1918).
