Jean Tisserand continued as mayor in 1624. Under his mandate, he presided over the meeting of the aldermen of May 13, 1625, which deliberated on the sedition of the day before, at the time of the execution of Hélène Gillet, following which the executioner and his wife were killed by the people with stones, hammers and daggers.
