These tokens were sold to raise funds for the victims of WWI. There are several similar tokens. The small (29 mm) bronze come with and without an eyelet. There are also silver examples the same size as well as both bronze and silver with a 65 mm diameter. Gold tokens exist in sizes of 29 and 16.5 mm. The tokens were packed in a small round box with the name of the mint (Begeer) on the lid.
