The Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda (FNMT-RCM) and the Spanish Red Cross signed, on July 7, 2022, an Agreement for the delivery to the Spanish Red Cross of the industrial profit obtained from the sale of the « Ukraine-Spain Solidarity Medal». All this, in order for the Red Cross to use said benefit to alleviate the immediate basic needs of the displaced persons cared for in the operation in Ukraine.
The Spanish Red Cross is devoting itself to welcoming and assisting people arriving from Ukraine, providing first aid care, temporary accommodation, delivery of food, water, basic necessities, urgent healthcare, psychosocial support, etc.
The Fábrica de la Moneda y Timbre-Real Fabrica de la Moneda, based on its nature of public service and purpose of satisfying needs of general interest, collaborates with the Spanish Red Cross to support the groups that suffer the horrors of the war in Ukraine , as well as with applicants for and beneficiaries of international protection from the Spanish Red Cross, allocating the industrial benefit from the sale of solidarity medals on the occasion of the Ukrainian War to support said projects.
