Comment

The Dutch text in den echten bant is a reference to being married but also a reference to an exhibition with the same title in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The theme of the exhibition in 1991 was the history of the tokens about silver jubilee marriages, from the 17th century until the 50 Gulden commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Queen Beatrix and Prins Claus. This coin has the same silhouet of Prins Claus on the obverse side.
