René Chauvet was Treasurer General of France. Mayor of Tours from December 1634 to October 1636, he bore a saltire of azure, cantoned with four roses of sable.His successor as mayor of Tours from 1636 to 1637, C. Pequineau, took the oath on November 1, 1636.
