At the beginning of the 20th century, Georges Turpault, a spinner from Cholet, bought an old house and adjoining land on the Pointe de Beg-er-Lann, southwest of the Côte Sauvage on the Quiberon peninsula. He commissioned contractor Hippolyte Jamet to build an Anglo-Medieval-style château, which he dubbed "le château de la mer". Construction took place between 1904 and 1910. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_Turpault(1974) Azure, a navy anchor Or holding a yardarm Or, paved to the dexter Argent, holding a triangular sail Or charged with three fleurs-de-lis Gules; on a chief Gules, an ermine passant, gorged with a collar Argent, an ermine sash doubled Or. https://armorialdefrance.fr/page_blason.php?ville=12791
