The Štefánik Observatory stands in Petřín's orchards at the Hunger Wall, built during the reign of Charles IV. The establishment of a folk astronomical observatory in Prague, libraries and reading rooms, accessible to the widest circles, dissemination and popularization of the results of modern astronomy were the main objectives of the Czech Astronomical Society, founded in 1917. The observatory regularly holds lectures on certain topics, as well as the Planetary Program both adults and adults. For example, "Earth as a Planet" and "Starships" are programs designed for children, and "Moon - Dream and Reality" is an adult program. The permanent exhibition is an astronomical exhibition, which includes interactive exhibits, optical experiments and historical instruments, and above all computers with astronomical information, animations and a test. There is also a library of astronomy and astronomy libraries in the Observatory, as well as related fields for both beginners and advanced people interested in these topics.
