This so-called 1 dollar medal issued in 1935 https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/CoinView.aspx?sc=267937 has diameter 1.25 inches.Design by William Henry Jackson, the Research Secretary of the Oregon Trail Memorial Association. Struck by Whitehead & Hoag.
There was similar a so-called 50 cents medal of the same metal and most probably of the same size. It was considered to be struck in 1947 https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/coinview.aspx?sc=255639 .
