Pobjoy A privatly owned Mint is located Sutton, Surrey County, England. The family has a 300 years of working with fine metals. This part of the family started the coin minting. Originally started as fine Jewelry business in 1930 south of London. In 1964 Derek Pobjoy started offering custom coins with a single press in 1965. From 1965 to 2023 British Pobjoy Mint has produced commemorative, circulating and pattern coins or stamps for 33 different countries. Taya Pomjoy took the helm in 1998 after 25 years she retired in 2023. Which ended coin production. The family is still involved with making fine jewelry.
