Wright & Son operated from 1902-1920 at this address, when it became Chas. Wright. Ltd. It ceased trading in 1973. Of course, they may have continued to use the die after the change in the company name. However they must have made the dies no later than 1920.There are two reverse dies: one has the maker's name distant from the bear's feet and ending in line with the heels; the other has the name close to the feet and MIDDX extending beyond the foot on the right, this is certainly not the most common.
