Comment

In the immense Pelletier family, our character is Charles-Étienne Le Pelletier (1702 - 1785), Marquis de Fruncé, King's Councillor from 1722, Master of Requests, Intendant of Champagne in 1730, State Councillor in 1761, married to Catherine-Suzanne de Cotte, granddaughter of Robert de Cotte (1656 - 1735), King's architect. The token was almost certainly struck for their wedding.
