Beauval was often the first zoological park to present certain animals in France, which contributed to its notoriety and its development. In particular, it was the first to present leucic cats, white tigers and white lions in the 1990s. Today, several of the species presented are still rare in France, such as the okapi, the manatee and the Indian rhinoceros, or even unique in France, such as the giant panda, the koala, the Goodfellow dendrolag and the Tasmanian devil. In 2017, the ZooParc de Beauval became the first French park, and the fourth in Europe, to successfully breed the giant panda. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZooParc_de_Beauval
