Comment

Obverse: Bust right of Louis XV, like Guéant Prieur 572A.
Chambre aux Deniers. House to money is "a sort of Accounting Chamber established for personal expenses or rather the king of the king's Hotel" (Charles Preau, Study Room with money king of the twelfth to the sixteenth century). It is also called "room for hotel deniers" and is regularly established dice the reign of Saint Louis. Spending offices Paneterie, Echansonnerie, Kitchen, Greengrocer, Stable and Pound, are set by the House to the money that was delivering funds through the Treasury House.
Very few French jetons contain any references to Jews. At age 13, in 1723, Louis XV agreed to recognize the presence of Jews in France and confirm their rights to remain there, but in 1731 he forbade Jews throughout France to conduct business in localities where they were not permitted to live.
