CHAMBRE AUX DENIERSThe Chambre aux deniers is "a kind of accounting chamber instituted for the personal expenses of the king or rather of the king's household" (Charles Préau, Étude sur la Chambre aux deniers du roi du XIIe au XVIe siècle). It is also called "chambre aux deniers de l'hôtel" and is regularly established since the reign of Saint Louis. The expenses of the offices, Paneterie, Echansonnerie, Cuisine, Fruiterie, Écurie and Fourrière, were regulated by the Chambre aux deniers, which received funds from the Chambre du Trésor.
