Liptov museum in Ruzomberok (Slovakia) established in 1912, this museum have had time to accumulate 180,000 collection objects. Here it is possible to find natural history exposition with botanical, zoological and geological section, archeological exposition of oldest Liptov settlements, feudalism exposition showing lives of people of this period, the history of paper in Slovakia and exhibition of the life and work of Andrej Hlinka, a prominent nationalist and politician at the beginning of the 20th century. Gallery of sacred art is here too.

Juraj Jánošík was a famous Slovak highwayman. Jánošík has been the main character of many Slovak and Polish legends, novels, poems and films. He is a semi-legendary character in East-Central Europe. According to the legend, he robbed nobles and gave the loot to the poor, a deed often attributed to the famous Robin Hood.
