Two known variants:
W#41 a. - without point behind DUX
W#41 b. - without olive branches on reverse.
This second variant, without crown, appears to be very rare; it was not distributed to the general public, and only a few examples were minted for the Royal Cabinet in The Hague.
Apart from this copper version, this medal was also minted in 500 gold pieces (rare) and 4,000 silver pieces (with or without the dot behind DUX).
Engraved by Pieter Walter van de Goor, first employed at the Brussels mint and later appointed first engraver at the Utrecht mint. Among other things, he engraved the corners of the ½ gulden and ¼ gulden of the Dutch East Indies.
