Comment

The Israel Government Coin and Medals Corporation issued this medal for the subscribers in appreciation to their loyality. Since 1990, until its privatization in 2008, the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation used to present its high-volume subscribers with a medal especially minted for this purpose and not further sold to the public, in order to encourage them and as a way of thanking them and showing them how highly they were regarded. Outstanding subscribers were those who met IGCMC criteria for type of purchase and total amount. Three types of medal were distributed to subscribers classified as: Outstanding Subscribers; Silver Subscribers; Gold Subscribers. The medal's obverse had a yearly changing subject, whereas the reverse had more or less standard text depending on the type of subscriber
