Comment

Token struck for the Hôtel des voyageurs, owner Edouard Prinz and his wife Suzanne, known as Sissy Zangerlé, produced by Auguste Nimax. The Hôtel des voyageurs minted another token (with a hole) with a similar legend (see Weiller# MD 121).

1,000 of these tokens were struck in 1949, and 3,000 with the same die in 1955.

The side bearing the owner's name is to be considered as the obverse according to the order (see Weiller p. 225).

The weight of this token can vary greatly; extreme weights measured: 3.2 - 3.8 g.
