Coin was issued by dr. Peter Urbanc, who is one of the prominent representatives of Slovenian emigrants. He left his native land, but he did not forget his nation and language. To encourage Slovenians both abroad and at home, in 1978, on the 60th anniversary of the fall of Austria-Hungary, he had the first Slovenian gold and silver coins produced. They depict Slovenian giants: Ivan Cankar, France Prešeren, Janez Evangelist Krek, Anton Martin Slomšek, Irenej Friderik Baraga and Primož Trubar.See also: https://www.facebook.com/cankarjev.dom.cd/posts/1981810855193998/ (accessed 24.10.2023)
